Poltava geophysical Expedition was founded in 1945. First
it was a small logo-perforatory party. At present, it is a large enterprise, which is
carrying out the investigations in oil and gas well drilling and testing with the help of
modern methods.
Our Expedition is realy a father of geophysical field in the Ukraine. As oil
borong volume at the East of the Ukraine was constantly increasing, two differnt
expeditions (Balaklejskaja — Kharkow region and Nezinskaj'a — Chernigov region) were
separated from that one.
Now our Expedition consists of two large separate parties, for geophysical
investigations in oil and gas well drilling and testing, with eguipped bases —
Mirgorodskaja and Achtirskaja — as well as a party ot geologo-technological and
geochemical investigations, experimental-systematic detachment, a section of bore testing
on pipes, petrophysic laboratory and other industrial subdivisions.
More than 160
oil and gas deposits in Dneprovsko-Donezkoi hollow were discovered for 50 years of
existing of our Expedition. Among them there are some large: Shebeiinskoje, lablunovskoje,
Kotelevsko-Berezovskoje, Rudenkovsko-Novonikolaevskoje and others.
With the growth of boring volume and bore deep, it decame more and more
difficult to inrush oil andgastrape. So, we had to improve geophysical equipment and
investigation methods. First we used semisutomatic and automatic equip- ment and now
modern computere are at our disposal. All geophysical materials are processed with their
help. Now we have the opportunity to give a Customer all information directly at a bore,
both in the form
of diagrame and the processed results of measures with the help of profilemetry,
cementometry, inclinometry, impulse neutron-neutron logging methods.
Thanks to modern computers we can successfully solve both different
geological and technological tasks and a number of economic and financial problems.
In 1975 our Expedition has bough! the American firm logging station
(Halliburton) together with the set of bore and perforated equipment. This station helped
us to solve successfully geophysical problems in super-deep wells by sonic logging and
small-sized perforation with lubricating unit.
At the same time the bed inclination method was mastered.
In 1959, for the first time in the Ukraine, at the Expedition it was organized an
experimental-methodical group in learning new experience and applicating new equipment and
investigation methods-Partry's specialists worked together with the scientific-research
institutes of the USSR.
Working in cooperation with customers, our Expedition exactly and in good
time fulfils all contract conditione and for years of its existing has got acknowledgment
among geologists and drill operators as a reliable partner.
On the finished drill holes the Expedition makes an imerences about the
estimation of productivity of geologic column and gives a recomtndation concerning the gas
bed testing. It was determined the calculated parameters of producing levels of oil and
gas exploratory
areas (46 in all). For increasing the reliability of determination of defferent reservour
parameters, the Expedition has a petrophysical laboratory, in which one can process up to
several thousands of core samples in the conditions near to bed ones.
Using geologo-technological station data, one can directly at the borehole
set optimal drilling practices to receive data concerning drilling fluid state,
information about the reservour oil bearing at the bottom hole, the presence of absorption
and a characteristic of infliw in the
drilling process.
A reservour testing section on pipes successfully studies perspective objects
during drilling at different depths and in thermobaric conditions meet at the wells of
Dneprovsko-Do-
nezkoj hollow.
Modern perfo- rators and charges to them, used by our Expedition, allow to
carry out an
effective drilling in and formation fracturing both under the pressure and by differential
pressure in string of casings and string of rods.
For the more precious measurements with the help of logging equipment and for
a
regular control of its efficience in the conditions near to the hole ones, there is a
metrological range with the control devices, borehole (up to 6200 m) and thermal vacuum
chamber in which it's possible to create pressure up to 200 mpA and temperature—to
200°C.
Except work, the collective body dusy itself with the social-cultural
problems. The workers of the collective body are building houses, shops and kindergartens
for themself by their own effort. At the Kremenchuk seashore they have their own rest
home, where they can rest for a little sum of money.
We are always ready to fulfil the most complex and crucical work and to bring
our contribution to the reachment of oil and gas production peak in the Ukraine.
We wish and are ready for collaboration on mutual-advantageous conditions.
We'll give acustomer any valuable geophysical and technical information he likes.
